Niamh's Lore

Niamh Amanita Aberra was born in Feyr, in the Missing Wilds, but her nature led to her expulsion to the Labyrinth of Echos at the age of seven. Her youth was quickly stolen from her due to the fear and judgment of others.

"Mycelians reanimate the bodies of the recently deceased, inoculating corpses with microscopic spores much like hermit crabs wear shells."

It is truly unfortunate how many more "civilized" races fear and disagree with this practice, causing young Mycelians to lose connections to their homes.While fighting for her life in the labyrinth, slowly forgetting her roots, she encountered the most beautiful creature she has ever seen. Eilae was her name.This majestic Wood Elf became the first to look at her respectfully; there was nothing to see in her green, almost yellow, astonishing eyes.Before she could think twice, her then small body was being carried away to the Wicker; The Kingdom of Elves.She was then raised there as a cartographer by the High Elves and taught herbalism by the Wood Elves.

"The Kingdom was majestic but sadly faced the dangers sneaking in from the Labyrinth. Elves have been protecting their land from Orc attacks since the sun could remember."

Taking the bodies of deceased Elves that were lost in the war with Orcs, Niamh started to proud herself on her looks.96 years have passed and Eilae joined the corpses left on the battlefield. Niamh could not bear the thought of saying goodbye and snuck into the boat before the grand send-off ceremony.She sat there, singing the song of life Eilae taught her as a youngster, and at the end of the night, she decided to keep the memory of her dear mother alive and, literally, close to her heart.

"Returning through the swamp back to her home, she heard a soft wimper. As if there was not enough death in the Kingdom, she found the smallest deerfox, crying from pain."

Carrying her new furry friend, she packed some medical herbs and the journals that include her past.The journals were all she had, as her memories were fading with each reanimation. The thought of losing connection with a place she calls home and people she calls her own was very painful.During this very same night, she left the kingdom.She had no idea what to expect from the world outside, but at least she was not alone to find out.

Niamh, a Mycelian; from a race that's known to be a living bridge between life and the deceased. At first look you'd instantly notice her presence, her Elf-like features, the sophistication.Something about her yellow stare is strict and petrifying— piercing, but her poise tells a story of love and care.Her elegance wraps her slender bony bodace in a lovely ceramic green.Her hair in sunset that flows beautifully until her waist, where the skirt for her dress that has hugging her tall figure begins. Mushrooms growing out of the seams, the rims, and the end of her dress and veil's natural fibres.She looks of porcelain and innocence until her head where a dragon's skull is growing out of her own; the only thing that weighs from her feather-like appearance. A dragon's skull, her vessel for her precious companions— friends that she will keep alive like how she does with her mother's memories.
